ABOUT ME

Alejandra Mesta

High cholesterol runs in my family.

My grandfather died at 62 from heart disease. My great-grandfather at 61. It's been a shadow over my family for as long as I can remember.

And yet — this journey didn't start with cholesterol. It started with keto, a baby, and running out of energy to keep lying to myself.

After having my son, I gained weight. Not from the pregnancy — just from how hard it became to keep up with my old routines. So I did what everyone does.

I tried keto.

Then I tried it again.

Then one more time, convinced this time would be different.

It never was. And at some point I ran out of energy to keep trying something that kept failing me.

So I stopped trusting diets — and started reading studies.

That decision led me to Dr. T. Colin Campbell and 50+ hours of a very rigorous nutrition certification.

What I found completely changed how I understood food.

A whole-foods plant-based study concluded:

"This programme led to significant improvements in BMI, cholesterol and other risk factors. To the best of ourknowledge, this research has achieved greater weight loss at 6 and 12 months than any other trial that does not limit energy intakeor mandate regular exercise."— Study: https://rdcu.be/fkpi2

The research was unambiguous. I built a program around it, tested it on myself first, and lost 11 pounds in 15 days.

But what happened next I didn't see coming.

A few clients with high cholesterol joined the program.

But, they were nervous:

"Will this make my cholesterol worse? Keto made my numbers go up."

I told them based on the research it should help — but I honestly didn't know how much or how fast. We agreed they'd get tested 15 days later.

Sue's cholesterol dropped 30 points. Her doctor told her she'd avoided statins.

Sean — who'd done keto, paleo, and low-carb for years with his cholesterol climbing the whole time — dropped 60 points of bad cholesterol.

I was stunned.

With heart disease running deep in my family, I couldn't just move on. I had to understand why this worked so I'd never accidentally break it.

So I went back into research mode.

Dr. Esselstyn. Dr. Ornish. Dr. Greger. Hundreds of hours. I wanted the exact mechanism, the exact standard, the exact accelerators — the supplements and spices that could speed up results even further.

That's when I found something that stopped me cold.

Esselstyn had documented it decades ago: follow this specific way of eating and your cholesterol should reach optimal levels within 14 days.

My clients had done it in 15. Without knowing.

The science was there all along. My clients just lived it before I found the proof.

I spent the next year building what I wished had existed when I started — a complete, science-backed system for lowering cholesterol naturally. Not another diet to white-knuckle through. A method you can actually live with, backed by the doctors and studies your own doctor probably hasn't read.

That became The Areas Method.

If you're tired of doing this in the dark — trying things, hoping they work, never really knowing if you're on the right track — you're in the right place.

Start here — the community, the science, and the method. $7/month.

Everything you need to know what to eat, why it works, and whether it's working — in one place.
